African Invite
Comfort, character, and space to unwind
Every room in the house is air-conditioned, and all bedrooms have remote-controlled ceiling fans and private bathrooms with walk-in showers. The Luxury Room features a free-standing bathtub and twin showers. The house has been newly refurbished — modern bathrooms blend beautifully with old-world charm: solid wooden floors and doors, sash windows, shutters, high ceilings, and large windows that fill the space with natural light and fresh air.
We have four bedrooms. If you book all rooms directly with us for more than two nights, we’ll offer a tailored rate. Meals can be arranged, and we highly recommend joining us for at least one braai — a traditional South African meal cooked over open fire (not just a barbecue!).
You’re welcome to choose our self-catering option — the farm kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. Or explore the region’s restaurants — we’re happy to recommend our favourites.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. The TV lounge features two large sofas and full DSTV (cable), Netflix, and Showmax. The adjoining library offers a wide selection of travel books, an open fireplace, leather sofas, and French doors that open onto the veranda and pool area.
The swimming pool is 50 sqm and 2 metres deep, filled with fresh borehole water. On one side, there’s a 200 sqm English garden; on the other, a 100 sqm sundeck with a braai area and firepit — plenty of space for everyone. Picture yourself by the fire under a warm, star-filled African sky stretching from horizon to horizon.
No one should leave without a wine tasting experience. We can arrange tastings and private tours in English or Swedish with a certified guide. If you let us know in advance, you may even join in seasonal winemaking activities — picking, crushing, blending, bottling — and create your own blend to take home.
Even non-birders will be amazed — over 70 bird species have been identified on the farm.
We’re perfectly located for day trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Tulbagh, and Cape Town — all just 50 minutes away. The West Coast National Park, with its turquoise lagoon and white beaches, is 45 minutes away. The !Khwa ttu San Heritage Centre is 40 minutes away and well worth a visit. Riebeek-Kasteel, just 20 minutes away, is a gem for dining. Every journey takes you through magical countryside.
