We had a great day of winetasting with Jim. Really good! He selected the places to visit, as well as the wines to taste. And they were al great! Jim knows a lot about wine and helps you with his knowledge and tips to really taste the different wines. The places he took us were also very beautiful estates with their own different story and strategy. On the way he tells about SA history, Stellenbosch, birds and plants. Well I could go on but I won’t. Just spend a little bit more money than the touristy grouptours and go with Jim. You won’t regret it😀​​​​​​​

If you, like me, need a real break from everyday stress and a complete change of scenery, I can warmly recommend letting Jim create a custom journey for you. He understood exactly what I needed.

We set off in a 4WD from Stellenbosch, crossing the Cederberg and the remote “Hardlands” to the Atlantic coast — where you can drive for miles without seeing another soul. Along the way, we stayed in charming lodges and met some unforgettable characters living life far from the ordinary.

Over four days and 1,200 km, we travelled slowly — stopping to photograph, reflect, and simply take it all in. Jim’s knowledge of wildlife, flowers, history, and politics is impressive. He’s also a fantastic cook and a great travel companion. Sometimes, you need to experience the kind of silence that only Africa can offer — as breathtaking as the landscape itself. South Africa is extraordinary. It gives you perspective and keeps calling you back.   Thank you, Jim — every single Rand was worth it
